Question I am a student at Colorado State University and was curious about how a fictitious person's money would perform over a given time period in a given mutual fund. Say I had a person, Joe, who had $97,000 to invest and he wanted to see what his $97k would have done over the past five years in a mutual fund. . . Is there a place where I can punch in these numbers and find out how his money would have done? Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Answer In order to calculate this you would first need to know the performance of the mutual fund over the 5 year time period. You could then use a financial calculator to calculate the growth. I hope this helps or if your question is different than I interpretated, please let me know.
