Subject: currency ETFs

Question
Do currency ETFs go up and down with the currencies they track?

Answer
Hi. The price flucuation of ETF's are technically driven by the purchase and sale pressures of the shares that trade throughout the day. However, these purchase and sale pressures, and resulting performance of the ETF is based on the value of the securities (or in this case currencies) within the ETF itself. So, in regards to your question, the answer is yes. I hope this helps.
