Question When my father in law died he left our 6yo son 5000. We invested it in a Mutual fund and now 2 years later it doesnt seem to be gaining much. What is the best way to invest that money until he is 18 (10 years from now)?
Answer Hi. The "best" way to invest is dependent on youre specific risk tolerance and goals. Since there is no one best way to invest it is difficult for me to offer specific advice. However, I would recommend you visit the following website www.vanguard.com and enter the personal investors section. There is a planning and advice tab which discusses the basics of investing and offers guidance to better determine risk tolerance, etc. Once you review this information, please share more with me in regards to specific goals, etc and I will try to offer some guidance. I hope this helps.
