Question What is your opinion on Fidelity ContraFund (Large Cap Growth, 5 star Morningstar rating)
Thank you for your time
Answer Dear Jason:
Apart from its gigantic size, there's nothing not to like about Fidelity Contrafund. A M* Analyst Pick. Rated high for return, low for risk. Almost 20% in foreign stocks. Over 15 years, Contrafund has beaten the S&P 500 by 3.99 percentage points.
It's a growth fund these days, and I suspect that many portfolios could benefit from more exposure to large-company growth stocks, considering how poorly they have been performing and how overdue they are for a turnaround.
