Question
Hi,

I am looking to invest in mutual funds and was wondering if there were and that involved real estate. If so, which ones would be good to look at? I am interested in short and long term.

Thank you.

Answer
Yes, there are mutual funds that invest in Real Estate.  In my opinion, funds that are worthwhile for consideration are Undiscovered Managers REIT (urtlx), Vanguard REIT Index (vgsix), Scudder REIT (rrrrx) and CGM Realty Trust (cgmrx).  However, in my opinion, REIT funds, like any other investment, should be part of a diversified portfolio if being used.  I hope this helps.
