Answer
Hi Julieanne,

well, this is quite a question... I personally cannot really tell if you are in any danger, and neither that this has much to do with my expertise.
This is just f.y.i... the wasp was once a means of attacking an innocent woman...
Zeus was a womanizer, a very good one, and one of the women he seduced was a beautiful woman named Io. Hera, his jealous wife, found out about this even though Zeus tried to conceal Io's part by turning her into a white heifer. Hera forced him to give her the cow, and she in turn ordered the wasp Brize to sting her and never let her rest, until Io was turned back into a woman when she reached Egypt and gave birth to Zeus' child.
Dragonflies in Greek mythology are either not mentioned, or I haven't come across any information yet.
What I could say is that you shouldn't need to feel threatened in any way. This was just a natural incident and nothing directly caused for your discomfort. To have a dragonfly actually fight it off is fascinating since you consider it your protector; which should also lessen your worry since you have protection!

I wish you all the best, and please, do not worry at all...
