Question
in the myth of arachne reveals that human beings could choose to please r oend the gods. Wat sin did arachne commit?

Answer
Dear James,

This question seems to be a duplicate question from a set of questions sent to me in an alternate question order which I just answered but in case your question is a seperate question (sent by another James), the asnwer to the question is as follows:

Arachne was a greatly skiller weaver and she was extremely proud of her abilities. She was so proud in fact that she was a better weaver than the goddess Athena/Minerva who was a noted weaver herself. Athena was offended by this claim - a human claiming superiority over the gods due to excess pride is a common reason for the offense caused to the gods - in the Greek tragic tradition this is called exes pride or hubris which was a serious sin.

Elise

Expertise

I can answer any question about just about all modern religions such as Jainism, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Sikhism and many more. However, I prefer answering questions about ancient Mythology like Greek, Roman, Celtic etc. I have, as far as I know, extensive knowledge of religions all around the world as I am very interested in reading all about ancient myths and modern beliefs.

Experience

I can answer just about all Greek and Roman mythology, I know a lot about Celtic, Norse, Hitite, African, Middle Eastern, East European and also North and South American Myths.
