Mythology/Did any city have Poseidon as its Patron?

Question
Hello
There are many stories where Poseidon lost many cities to other gods: Athens to Athena, Aegina to Zeus, Argos to Hera. Was their any city which had only Poseidon as its sole patron i.e did not have to share with any other god?

Also, which deity was the patron god of Sparta and Thebes?

Thanks
Revan

Answer
Good question! You really had me going into my files to recall this, but Poseidon was patron god of Corinth, possibly because it was on the sea. Apollo was the patron god of Thebes while Sparta had two patron gods, Ares and Athena.

Expertise

I have done research into gods and goddesses and have written brief descriptions of them. I have attempted to scale out family trees as I have already seen with the Olympian gods. I have tried to condense entire pantheons by attributing extra names or aliases to one deity. I have also made efforts to parallel myths with ancient history. I am not an expert nor do I hold any degrees. I am a self-taught person with a lot of otherwise useless information.
