Question Hi Irulan
Looking for the meaning behind lyrics to a song, "Drops of Jupiter" by Train. The lyric reads, "Now that she's back in the atmosphere/With drops of Jupiter in her hair". Is there anything in Greek mythology that refers to the "seed of Jupiter"? Someone told me that it had a sexual connotation but I'm not sure they knew what they were talking about. Really impressed by the song and its metaphorical descriptions; it's the only verse in the song I'm not sure of. Looked on the Internet but no luck. Any ideas?
Thank you.

Answer Hello Don,
This exxpression has two connotations.
...... a sexual connotation..... Jupiter's reproductive seed was said to be 'like pearls' thus the allusion to his 'drops'
....... atmospheric connotation..... Jupiter was the god of thunder as well as weather, so it also mean drops of rain.
