Mythology - greek mythology/symbol

Expert: Irulan Serena - 4/11/2005

Question
I have a question about the titan Atlas.  Does he have a symbol (not an animal or object) like Athena does ?  (symbols like this: $, #, @) If so, could you tell me where to find it?  Thank you

Francis

Answer
Hello Francis,

None of the Titans, including Atlas, had symbols, simply because they were exiled after the battle between them and the Olympians so the human race did not know them or honor them as the Olympinas were honored and worshipped ...thus no symbols were attributed to the Titans. Am sure you know the story of Atlas so will not bore you with the details.

Here are some neat links to further study mythology.

Good luck in your study of muths!
