About Coy Jordan
Expertise
I can answer any questions about drivers, cars, crews, teams, shops, championchips and any technical question about the rules and regulations of NASCAR. The only question I might not be able to answer is one that deals with the small parts inside the car that help the car's performance, but the stuff such as the body, engine, and spoiler are easy.

Question
What is the average lap life of a NASCAR Goodyear Eagle tire.

Answer
Hi Mr. Mulvey,

It varies on different tracks.  At darlington, a 1.5 mile track, they lasted about 58-62 laps.  Granted, they wore out by then, but they still worked at 185 mph.  So i am not all that great at math.
Also, if the asphalt was recently repaved, the tires last longer and have more grip.

Hope i helped!
Coy Jordan
