Expertise
I can answer any questions about drivers, cars, crews, teams, shops, championchips and any technical question about the rules and regulations of NASCAR. The only question I might not be able to answer is one that deals with the small parts inside the car that help the car's performance, but the stuff such as the body, engine, and spoiler are easy.

Question
There is a RED button in the center of the steering wheel.
What is it for?
Thank you.

Answer
Hi William,

I only know NASCAR stuff.  But i will venture a guess.  In NASCAR, there are two buttons on the wheel (that i know of).  One of them is for the radio so the driver can talk to the crew.
The other button is marked "KILL" and is the kill button for the engine.  I wouldn't be surprised to find that it is the same button that you speak of in the drag racing.
I imagine they need it because if that huge engine catches fire they don't need it to be pumping fuel on the fire.
Like i said, i am not positive about that, but i would think that the big red button is the kill button.

Hope i helped!
Coy Jordan
