NASCAR Racing - safety

Question
This is more of a concern than a question. I attended the spring race in Talladega. My seat is located at the start finish line (best seat in the house).I was concerned for the flagman. At one point carl`s car was higher than the flagman`s post if you will. Is the flagman`s post able to withstand the impact that carl`s car would have had. I watched in awe as he rolled down the fence. No doubt the fence done it`s job.(Good job for nascar). I was wondering if the little cubicle they sit in, would hold up.
GO JR.
Thanks for looking at my concern.
Forever a NASCAR fan,
LEE

Answer
Lee,
This question is something I do not know the answer to. I would assume the stand is designed much like a rollcage and can take a hit. But that is just my speculation. You might consider writing to NASCAR your question. Their contact info can be found on their website. Nascar.com

Sorry I can't be more help to you.
