Nail Care & Manicures - Gel tips

Expert: Keeley Dennyschene - 4/26/2008

Question
Hi there,I have booked an appoinment for Thursday for gel tips as salon had a special offer on for gel tips and a hair cut for £35.What are gel tips exactly? How will I know if they have been done properly?

Answer
Hi Emma

The fact that your hair and nails are only going to cost £35 worries me, Gel nails alone cost in the region of £30 upwards for a good set???  I would make sure you are not about to be given a novice nail technician, where are you going? what area? why is it so cheap? what products are they going to use? who have they been trained by, how many years experience have they got?  these are some questions you should be asking.

visit my website and go to the OUR SERVICES page, you will find information on gel nails, fibreglass and acrylic nails.  Please ask a few questions before you let someone loose on your fingers, you might also want to read my page on REGULATE NAIL SALONS as well and please sign my online petition.

Email me direct if you have any further queries x
Keeley
