Question hi heather, Most of my clients want tips with an acrylic overlay. I was wondering why the glue seems to break down as the nail is growing out? I look under the free edge and some of the nails have a gap between the natural nail and the enhancement. I was thinking blending would be the cure but I blend the top of the nail not underneath. And not all nail tips need to be blended right? Thank you. I JUST WANT TO LET ALL YOU EXPERTS KNOW HOW MUCH THIS SERVICE IS APPRECIATED AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
Answer Thank you for your appreciation ;)
Ok, so part of your problem could be your adhesive. Most adhesives are water soluble, and will break down from regular exposure to washing hair, washing hands, etc.
I urge you to find a WATERPROOF adhesive, I like CND Gelbond- it's thicker than typical adhesives, and is also WATERPROOF.
And yes, blend ALL tips, no matter WHAT the tip advertises. You want the strength of your enhancements to be in your PRODUCT, not your tip. Not blending ensures that your enhancements will be bulky 100% of the time :)
And remember what I said in the other answer I gave you about proper tip placement.. :)
