Expert: Joanna Panagiotidi - 5/22/2008

Question
Hiya,
i am just wondering if you could answer my question. I have an assignment on different nail systems and what kind of nail they will go on. What type of artificial nail system would be best for a client which has got a hang nail and which system would be best for a client who has got brittle nails. Thank you for reading.
Tara Johnson

Answer
Dear Tara,

there are many factors that define the nail system that you should use to each of your clients.
Hang nail was caused by an accident?
or
The client's nails are dry and breaking is just a routine?
Brittle nails are caused by using detergents and washing dishes without wearing gloves or does she have a disease or something???

You have to get a full resume of your client to be efficient and specific...

With two words...
Silk is better for a hanging nail and biosculpture gel or acrylic is better for the brittle ones...
Of course one the second you should give her a treatment in order to help them get hydration.

Hope I was helpful...

J
