I had both do it yourself and salon tips. My sister has hers done on a regular basis. They do over time cause damage to the nail and it takes 6 weeks for your nails to grow out the damage (meanwhile nails look gross). Do yourself and your nails a favor and go natural. I have been using The My Natural Nails system for almost year now. From short couldn't grow nails with horrible cuticle problems I have strong pretty nails and no more torn cuticles(no more Band-Aid fingers). If I can do it you can too. My husband loves my natural nails and I save money too.
