Nail Care & Manicures - LCN loses shine on dominant hand

Expert: amber Edwards - 10/24/2009

Question
After all most 5 years of bi-weekly silk wrap manicures, I've started to get LCN nails done on a bi-weekly basis.  My dominant hand always loses its shine by the end of the first week.  What am I doing wrong.  I have used the same manicurist for the past 5 years and am quite pleased with her work.

Answer
Hi Shelly,

In my experience with LCN sometimes all it takes is wiping your nails off with some alcohol
you might have build up of hair spray, cleaning solvents ect.If this is not the case,It sounds like you have a good tech,Your tech can try using 2 coats of sealant that will give more shine or she might not be aware of some of the extra products that LCN offers!
There is a product called Ultra Shine it is SUPER shinny and works the same as sealant which is
what gives you that shine you like. I hope this helps.

Good Luck!
