Nail Care & Manicures - smudges under gel

Expert: amber Edwards - 10/3/2009

Question
I have short nails and got acrylics on for length with gel on top. I think that the acrylics were put down too far because when the french manicure is done with the nail polish remover clean ups it leaves streaks and white.Once the UV sealer is applied they set with smudges and bubbles. Is it because the tips are down too low on the nail bed?

Answer
Hi Deena,

It sounds to me like the french is not done properly. Any time there is streaks or smudging,
The french needs to dry longer before the sealer is applied and try not to use remover for the smile line clean up if there is a problem getting the smile line straight try using a stencil.

good luck
