Question I don't like going to salons to get my nails done, and I have been doing them myself for the past few years. I recently found out about gel nails, and how much better they are than acrylic. I wanted to know whether or a UV lamp is needed to do Gel Nails. I know there are some kits that say a lamp isn't needed, but what about all gels. DO you have to have a UV Lamp to do this kind of nail?
Answer DeAnna,
ALL gels need to be cured. If it is not cured, it is a resin and not a gel. Do not be fooled into believing that gels do not need to be cured.
You will need a UV lamp to cure your product. Gels are not better than acrylic, but some techs prefer gels.
I LOVE gels. They are not easy to do, but once you master them, you will like them better than acrylic
buenos dias,
