Nail Care & Manicures - New to nails

Expert: Ambercinque - 6/15/2009

Question
I just sent you a question regarding learning more about fake nails and you said you had answered my question before. I have never used this service before to ask about nail questions. I am not sure why you would respond saying I have asked this question before but I truly have never asked this question and truly have these questions about fake nails.

My questions were:
1: What are the best type of natural looking fake nails and is there a certain thing I should ask for?
2: What is basic care?
3: If put on properly, should the nails be as strong as natural nails if not stronger? Will I need to be careful what I do and be careful not to pop them off or should they be strong enough to stay with average daily tasks?
4: Any tips or suggestions since I am new to fake nails?

Answer
Anna-

Hello. I have not answered this question before from you but if you look at my past questions you will see I have answered these questions multiple times from others and my answeres are posted.

1. Its based on personal preference and lifestyle. Your nail tech should do a consultion prior to services to determine which is best for you.

2.-Basic care for what? Natural nails? a certian type of enhancement?

3.Do you mean with tips without tips and just an overlay?

When you say fake nails what exactly do you mean? There are several types of enhancements. Acrylic, wraps, gels? Overlays, with tips, sculpted? Fake is way to vague. Please specifics only. If you are unsure you can take a peek at my previously answered questions for more information on the specifics of each since there is way too much ground to cover.

Thanks so much.
Amber
