Question I have gel nails and decided to go less expensive so I got acrylic over top and fill. I now have brown edges on the edges of the acrylic nail, where it's growing out, not the top. I want to take them off. Can I soak then buff myself, and what is the brown edge? Thank you
Answer Debbie,
It sounds like the acrylic turned colors. If you have MMA on your nails, this is normal. Did you go to a chop shop?
MMA turns yellow/brown over time. I see it from chop shops within about four to six weeks.
MMA will not soak off with 100% acetone. MMA has to be filed. If you do this, please be careful as to not go too far down and hurt your nails.
You may want to find a reputable salon that will help you with the process.
Good luck,
Buenos dias,
Lynnette
