Question I have been doing my own gel nails for about 15 to 20 years and just the last 2 times i have woken up through the night with feircely itchy cticles around the nails and it hurts but itches unbearably. It lasts up to 2 to 3 days until it gradually stops. I geld one nail but put 2 fingers under the uv lights and both fingers itched this time. I think it must be the light?? What should I do?? I want to continue doing my own nails as am a horrible nail biter.

Answer Hi Sarina,
Sorry to hear this the one finger application is no proof for the lamp. Most probably but less fortunate for you is an allergy which can happen even after all those years. No cure for that except maybe changing to either IBD, EzFlow or Super Nail products.
More fortunate would be your use of the cleanser please make sure you do not apply the cleanser on your cuticles.
Please let me know what works for you otherwise we will have to find more details to see what the cause would be.
