Nail Care & Manicures - lines showing through on false nails

Expert: amber Edwards - 9/19/2009

Question
I have had acrylic nails, wraps and now I have what my salon calls Diamond Nails.  With each, when the tech files them down for the fill, the line shows through.  After several fills, I have two or three lines showing through each of my nails.  I really hate that but I don't like color on my nails.  Is there a type of false nails that will look natural with no lines?

Answer
Hi Vicki,

it sound like your tech is useing a drill if this is the
case those lines are called fire lines it is permanent damage
on your natural nail! The damage need to grow out to get rid
of the lines. If I were you I would find a nail tech
that filed by hand! You won't have lines at all!

Good luck!
