Question Hi, I just wanted to find out how many years away are we from making an apple out of nanotechnology? I suspect there will be a major paradigm shift. Do you agree?

Answer Dear Mark,
I really cant give a exact deadline when a "nano apple" is made,but at the pace at which we are moving we should be able to do it in about 10 to 20 years.The biologists and physicists are moving in a steady pace when compared to the engineers.The glitch lies at the fact where we have to make molecular nano robots to build molecules or reassemble them to the form we want.So we have to invent mechanical machines that can manufacture such minuscular robots.Something called molecular nano assemblers.
