Question Is it a bible-belt city? Meaning, are there local taverns or is it a bring your own kinda place? Are there lakes nearby or rivers where you can have lunch and a cocktail? Are apartments expensive? Is smoking allowed in restaurants? What can you tell me about Nashville that would be a better place to move than, say, Memphis?
Answer Hi Linda,
Yes, there are plenty of local taverns & clubs that serve cocktails although a few of them are BYOB or what we call in the south as "dry", but 99% are not.
Apartments/rentals can range anywhere from $400-$2000 a month depending on your lifestyle.
Smoking is banned in all TN restaurants but it is still allowed in a few bars & clubs.
Hmmm..why is Nashville better than Memphis? Yikes, I really don't like to trash another city in our state but can honestly say that the Nashville Area has a better economy, lower crime rates, a more diverse population, and better schools.
Hope this helps,
Jan
