Question
My family and I are considering moving to Nashville or Murfreesboro.  What are the chances of seeing snakes in my backyard?

Answer
The chances of seeing a snake in your yard are very remote as long as you keep your yard clean from debris & mowed. They normally don't travel across open land or any type of gravel/blacktop.

I've lived here for over two decades, most of which in a rural area, and have only seen one snake - it was in some tall grass along the woods and while I didn't get really close to it, I believe it was a corn/king snake.

Hope this helps,
Jan
