Question
Our mommy group (eight ladies) will meet in Nashville this July. Any suggestions on what area to stay in, things to definitely see (or NOT bother with!) would be greatly appreciated.
I live in San Antonio, and as a resident of a tourist attraction, I know the travelogues are not always on target.
Thanks for your input. None of us has ever been to Nashville so I don't really know what to ask...

Answer
Hi Kathy,
Well I would suggest staying in the downtown area or the airport area..I don't suggest staying North of town..there are some nice area's but many are seedy.
My favorite hotel is the Music City Sheraton, located between the airport and Opryland area.

Hmmm... 8 ladies in a mommy group sounds like ya'll need to have fun..

A Downtown Walking tour:

I would also take some time to visit at least one of the mansions in the area, I like Cheekwood, Belle Meade and Hermitage the best.

Please make sure to order a visitor package from the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau

It's packed full of great information and also, when contacting them, request that a map be included.

I hope this helps you. Hope ya'll have a great visit to Nashville.
