Nashville/Re-newing wedding vows.
Expert: Jan Duke - 1/21/2006
QuestionDear Jan, 5.00pm Sat.21st Jan.2006
My husband and I will be visiting Nashville on February 14th this year, and I was wondering if it might be possible for us to re-new our wedding vows while we are there?
Colin and I have just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary, and our lovely daughter Sheridan,
surprised us at Christmas with tickets for the 'Rhythms of the South' tour of Memphis and Nashville! We leave Memphis for Nashville on the afternoon of Feb.13th and will spend two nights there before leaving for Atlanta to fly home to the UK.
My husband and I have been entertainers in the music business all our married life, and have been performing country music for the last twenty-five years! In fact we still run a weekly country show in Doncaster, Yorkshire, and the club is always full.Colin plays guitar and I play bass, and we both sing and harmonise. Over the years, we have dreamed about going to Nashville but never thought we would, and our daughter says it gives her so much pleasure to now be able to pay for us to go!Isn't she lovely!
It's a coincidence that we shall be there for Valentine's Day, and I just had this idea of doing something special to surprise Colin. I haven't told him that I'm making an enquiry.
Jan, if there's anything you can suggest, please could you let me know.
Thank you so much for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Marilyn Smith
AnswerHi Marilyn,
It might be kind of hard to get it done at this late date...but I've listed a couple of links below where you can get some idea's of what's avialable in the Nashville Area.

Also you might want to check with the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center, they have several wedding options and might be able to do a last minute vow renewal.

Hope this helps and enjoy your trip,
