Nashville - county tax

Expert: Jan Duke - 2/24/2007

Question
My husband and I will be relocating to the Nashville area within the year and trying to get the tax difference on houseing, between wilson, sumner, davidson and williamson countys

Answer
Hi,
The 2006 base tax rates for these counties are:
Wilson $2.4800
Sumner $2.2800
Davidson $4.0400
Williamson $2.3100

Remember that if you are within a city limit it will normally have an additional city tax rate too.
You can keep up to date on these rates online at the TN comptrollers office of Property Assessments
http://www.comptroller1.state.tn.us/PAnew

Hope this helps,
Jan
