Question
I was just told that one of my great, great grandmothers was full blooded Cherokee. She used a Christian name and being Cherokee was a "dirty little secret". None of the family knows her tribal/cherokee name. Is there a way to track down our family's Cherokee heritage using her Christan name? We are all very interested and proud to learn of this and would like to learn and pass along this info as well...Thank you.
