Question My husband is part Cherokee and we thought it might be fun, as first time grandparents, to be called "grandfather" and "Grandmother" or "elder" I can find the translations, but I don't know how to pronounce them correctly using english pronounciations. Can you help me? Any other suggestions would be great. My husband is what you would call a "man of many horses"....he was born a century too soon!! Thanks ever so much, tina
Answer Hi Tina,
What a great idea and congrats on the new grandchild. Here is a site that has a pronunciation guide. You can also follow it to many other very interesting pages on the Cherokee. It's one of my favorite websites to suggest.
