Question Hi Renee- I was adopted at birth, but learned several years ago from my
biological half-brother that I'm part Cherokee. I was temporarily named "Angela"
back then. Would love to get some ink if such a symbol exists. Thanks for your
help. Can't seem to find anything on-line. -Marla
Answer Hi Maria,
I am so sorry for the incredible delay. I have been away and had no computer.
I have research this and it is as I expected or I just can't find a symbol for angel. My theory is that it doesn't exist because angels were not part of Native belief. They are from the Bible and therefore did not become part of Native belief until Christianity did. When Christianity was accepted Native beliefs were rejected.
My suggestion is to go with the picture of an angel. If I missed it and they did believe in angels, then they would look the same. Right?
Good Luck.
Warm Regards,
Renee Aun
