Question
I use pine straw in my flower beds and now there is a small tree growing in there could it be a pine tree or we have cedar trees in the back of our land could it be a cedar.

Answer
Good morning Cynthia, It could be a pine or cedar or maybe something else but is probably a pine. It should have needles which resemble the pines from where the straw came from. Give it a little time and you should be able to recognize the needles which are distinctively different from a cedar's. Good luck and keep growing, George
