Question QUESTION: Hi Dr. Jacques,
I'm 54, almost menopausal, plagued with acne on my face and underside of my breasts, for the 1st time since adolescence. After reading of your positive experience with this, I bought Gaia Herbs whole plant standardization process saw palmetto extract in 60-70% grain alcohol & spring water. How much and how often would you recommend taking it? (I'm in a small town with no doctors familiar with this use.)
THANK YOU!
Nancy
ANSWER: Hi Nancy,
For that product, take two capsules per day.
Also consider taking Calcium-D-Glucarate - 400 to 800mg/day - and Pycnogenol at 50 to 100mg per day.
Hope this helps!
In Health,
Dr. Jacques

QUESTION: Thanks, but it's a liquid extract in 60-70% grain alcohol in spring water. Its suggested dosage is 40 drops 3x per day--is that adequate for this purpose?
Also, I am taking 1000mg/day of Calcium Citrate. do you recommend taking the Calcium-D-Glucarate in addition to that?
Thanks again.
Answer Go ahead and use that product up with those directions - then get the capsules.
Calcium-D-Glucarate is not a source of calcium (at least not much). It is a source of D-Glucaric acid, which is outstanding for detoxifying hormones. Keep taking the calcium citrate, and add this.
