People who are in constant pain are usually so stressed that they also are not thinking totally clear.  Try to listen to him and ask him what is he afraid of.



Most often things like this can just be cleared up with therapeutic massage.  Chiropractic can also help if you find a good one who knows what they are doing.  



People usually just think that this will clear up on itself.  It could do that, but after a year it is probably time to get some help with it.
