Back and Neck Injury/FASCIA

If I can say the word due to the area of the pain daily at least I put a name to it.
It starts at the neck as high as ear to the left side only shoulder.  Restrictions are many due to this.  Of course I can walk and use resistance bands for this at a health club and I am happy.  Will I get well.

Hi Roslyn,

Sorry for the late response, I have not been getting my notifications from AllExperts and will look into further into this.

It sounds like it could be a trapezius muscle problem. If you look at the muscle pain pattern at you can see where the upper part of this muscle describes the location of pain you describe. There, you can find some suggestions regarding daily activities to help. Many individuals, and women in particular, have a condition called trapezius myalgia, which involves chronic irritation and weakness in this muscle. This explains why you get results from resistance bands, however, you may need to modify your routine. If you go to the trapezius myalgia page, at the bottom of the page you will see illustrations of 5 exercises that are specific for trapezius myalgia and have been proven to be effective in clinical studies.

I hope this helps and I do apologize for the late response.

Kind regards,

Dr. Steve
