Needlepoint - petipoint

Question
where can I but a petipoint kit

Answer
Joy,

The term "petit point" really refers to the size of the canvas mesh.  Usually petit point refers to canvas that has a gauge of 18 holes per inch or higher.  Larger gauges (16 holes per inch or less) are sometimes referred to as "gross point" or just regular needlepoint.

You should be able to find plenty of places online to buy kits with smaller gauge canvas.  Try searching for "petit point kits" and finding retailers that sell kits in the higher gauges.  You can also purchase blank smaller gauge canvas and use a counted chart to make a petit point piece.

Hope this helps,
