Question
We just inherited an 1885 Needlepoint from a family member that is framed but has become discolored and dingy.  Is there anyway to clean the piece and brighten up the sampler?  Thanks

For something of that age, I can only recommend that you consult with a textile restoration expert.  Try contacting The American Needlepoint Guild to see if they can put you in touch with someone near you:
