Needlepoint - colonial sampler

Expert: Henry Babcock - 2/10/2009

Question
How or where can I find out how old and the value of a colonial sampler that I acquired at an estate sale? On bottom it says: N.1007 pure linen colonial 8 1/2 x 10 1/2 vogue no. co .  Its of a woman sitting in front of a fire place, and  says: In heaven a noble work was done when god gave man a mother.

Answer
Arcelia,

For something like that, I recommend that you contact The American Needlepoint Guild:

www.needlepoint.org

They should be able to put you in touch with someone in your area for an appraisal.

Hope this helps,

Henry Babcock
