Needlepoint - Stitching detailed area

Expert: Vinette de Phillipe - 1/29/2005

Question
What is the best way to work a detailed area where there are one or two stitches of a color scattered all over?

Answer
Hi Jeanne,
What I usually do for the detail areas is use the petipoint method.  Instead of working over 2 strands, just work over one strand of the canvas.  This gives a very good detail of what ever it is, like the eye area or other small item.
