Question
How do I calculate the amount of yarn I would need for the background of a needlepoint chair cover using #10 canvas mono?  Thank you

Answer
Hi Kay,

Due to the variations in different manufacturer's yarns and different types of yarns, it's hard to come up with a one-size-fits-all method for calculating the amount of yarn needed for a particular project.

The most accurate way to calculate the amount of yarn to use is to stitch a square inch (10 x 10) and multiply out to the number of square inches in your project, then add approximately 10%.

Hope this helps,
