Question
I'm not a needlepointer.I'm asking this question for my mother-so this may be a little confusing. She is needlepointing a picture of a old ship under full sail.  www.nathaliemay.com/code_133_page1.htm  The item # is MG3125 - Pliene Voile
There are tiny black lines coming from all the sails. She says if she fills the squares around the lines she can't tell where the lines are - so she's assuming she has to do those first, but should she use the same stitch and number of strands for the line or what? This is the first kit she has ever bought that didn't have detailed instructions.

Answer
HI Jan
I looked at the picture and it would be best if she did the black lines after she filled in the areas.  If possible she could use a pin or something similar to mark where the lines go so she can place them.

The black lines are overlaid, a straight line, on top of the white sail.
