Question We had planned to go to Gangtok.But because of recent violence the highway from New Jalpaiguri to Gangtok is closed.What are the other options for other tourist places. One option we r considering to go to Nepal. Is there any direct link from siliguri/new jalpaiguri to Kathmandu.Or any other option. We have confirmed train booking from New Delhi to New Jalpaiguri.
Answer I read about the trouble in Gangtok too. Nepal is a great place to visit . You will find lots of buses going to Kathmandu from Siliguri. There's even an airport in Siliguri that has direct flights to Kathmandu. If you told me what you're seeking to experience, I could probably give you better options.
