Question Hi there Nilesh,
I am going to be spending some time in India and China next year and are interested in travelling overland between them (via Nepal). I understand that the Chinese have tightened the rules regarding independant travel. Do you know how easy it is to do this route and could you recommend a cheap company through which I could organise this passage?
Thanks in advance.
Scottie.
Answer Hello Scott,
Yes, you are right...the Chinese do frown upon independent travel between Nepal and China (Tibet). Better to avail the services of a travel agency in Kathmandu who will put you with some group travel and you can go your separate ways once in side Tibet.
There are several in Kathmandu and can organise the Chinese visa in a jiffy. Hope this helps.
