Subject: amount of money needed to deposit in a Nepalese bank to establish eligibility for retirement in Nepal

Question
I assume that a requirement for coming to Nepal is that a person have sufficient amount of money to live monthly. My retirement will be 2500 US dollars, and 30,000 cash to deposit in a Nepalese bank. Would that be sufficient to obtain a permanent retiree visa?

Answer
Although this is outside my expertise - I would rather consult the american ambassy in nepal (http://www.south-asia.com/USA/)for a much detailed and accurate information.

Let me know if you have questions about adjusting/living in Nepal. I will be able to answer those questions better.
