Question
QUESTION: I wish to travel to nepal in august but am concerned about the weather at that time. Is it advisable to go? Also, what other countries would you recommend in asia to travel around the august/september time?

ANSWER: Trekking will be wet but doable. Most of the routes will be empty. Views wil be limnited. Asia's pretty big and I don't know your interests

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: More interested in viewing mustang, Buddhist temples, meeting local people etc in Nepal so trekking doesn't have to be perfect.
With regards to other destinations I want to experience something different, history, culture, architecture etc from an Asian country but I don't want it to ruined by poor climate. Which countries will have the best climate around aug/sep. Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, and maybe northern India have most appeal at present but open to suggestions

Answer
Given your line of interest - I would recommned Ladakh in India, beautiful temples, Buddhist people, dry climate and great hiking. You can fly to Delhi and travel overland 4 days or so from Delhi via Manali - or fly Delhi to Leh. (Mustang is a more restricted area of Nepal and wil require heli flights and fulkl trekking gear) weather will be mixed.
