Question I have been experiencing more frequency in urinating along with cramping. When I went for 2 different tests, they were slightly indicative of a UTI bot not enough to confirm anything. Then when my lab results came in the mail, my blood was +2 and my protein was +3, what could this mean? My cramping has worsened and I am very frustrated. My blood work came back with some out of range numbers as well. Can you help?
Answer Hi Sheryl,
Blood and protein in the urine are two red flags for presence of kidney disease.
A detailed history, physical exam, lab tests and imaging of the urinary tract are required to diagnose your condition.
Please get yourself evaluated by a Nephrologist ASAP.
