Question
Hello, I had a kidney transplant. I am doing great right now. What I wanted to know if I can take creatine for bodybuilding purposes.
Jerome
Answer Hi Jerome,
Thanks for your question on "Allexperts".
I do not know of any contraindication to taking creatine after transplant. However, it is know to raise serum creatinine levels even in normal individuals.
To be on the safer side, I'd advise you to stay away from it.
Sincerely,
Dr. Shah
