Question
Hi we are making our way to pinkpop. I need to find out how to get from our hotel in Alsdorf to Megaland. Can you point me in the right direction to find bus services/trams/trains or even cab companies that will operate after midnight.

Answer
Hi Caryn,

www.pinkpop.nl sez there's shuttle buses from Landsgracht train station to the site and camping area. Or you can walk it- 10 minutes.

The best international travel planner is www.bahn.de ...when I input a stop in Alsdorf DE and one in Landgracht NL, it's comes up with a bus that takes from an hour and a half to two hour with two or three changes. Unfortunately the last bus is at 21:40 weekdays and 18:41 on weekends. I can't  be sure these are your case as I just chose random stops from a list, not knowing what bus stops are closest to your destinations.

At www.ns.nl ...the Dutch rail planner, I found the last train leaving Landgraf towards Amsterdam is at 22:09 with stops in Heerlen, Sittard, Roermond, Weert, and Eindhoven. Eindhoven is about an hour and a half trip. There's one train change in Heerlen. Maybe you can cancel Alsdorf and get a room in one of these cities.

The train continues on to Amsterdam which is about a three hour ride from Landgracht.

Hope this helps,
Larry
